BAPTISM AND WEDDING BLESSING FOR GREG AND ALYSE PLUTA
It is our joy to announce that Greg and Alyse Pluta will be baptized into the Coptic Orthodox Church this Sunday at 7:15 a.m. The baptism will be followed by a wedding blessing for them, beginning around 8:10. We invite everyone to share in the blessing of welcoming them home into the Coptic Orthodox Church!
APOSTLES' FAST
We are in the midst of the Apostles' Fast, which will culminate the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul on July 12th. As the Apostles fasted in preparation for their mission to spread the Gospel to all peoples, let us take advantage of this time to examine and prepare our own hearts. We should be participating in the fast with our brothers and sisters to the best of our abilities and in under the direction of our spiritual fathers.
ADULTS' HYMNS CLASS
God willing, we will be beginning a hymns class for adults and young adults on July 7th. It will run during the same time as the children's hymns class. Please contact Peter Abadeer with questions and for more information.
JUNIOR HIGH DIOCESE RETREAT
The diocese retreat for junior high students, entitled "Living With Purpose," will have two sessions this summer. The boys' retreat will be from July 6th-8th at Adeventure Mountain in Forest Hills, while the girls' retreat will be from July 24th-26th at the Coptic Village in Big Bear. FOCUS SAN DIEGO
Join volunteers from Orthodox parishes in San Diego every Wednesday to serve with FOCUS to help provide meals for the hungry at 1625 Island Ave., San Diego, CA 92101. Help is needed with cooking, serving, and clean up from 3:00 p.m. onwards. Children are always welcome! If you have any questions, please contact Mary Jensen.

FOOD & CLEAN-UP
To sign up to bring food for the agape meal on Sundays, please fill in the weekly spreadsheet available HERE. We need as many volunteers as possible to keep the church clean on Sundays after the Divine Liturgy. Please consider this important expression of stewardship.
