FAITH-BASED PREMARITAL COURSE

Come and enjoy various lectures and discussions covering all you need to know for a successful marriage on February 2nd at St. John Coptic Orthodox Church in Covina, CA. The all day event will start with Divine Liturgy from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. end at 8:00 p.m. All meals and refreshments are included.

THE SHROUD OF TURIN WITH DR. JOHN & REBECCA JACKSON

Dr. Jackson, an international physicist who led a 40-person team of international scientists to study the Shroud. As the primary custodian of the data, he runs the Turin Shroud Center in Colorado with his wife, Rebecca, a convert to Christianity from Orthodox Judaism and is leading researcher into the ancient Jewish aspects of the Shroud.

The special youth meeting on February 15th is intended for those in 11th grade and beyond.

  • 7:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Talk #1: His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion

  • 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Talk #2: Dr. John Jackson - Shroud: Truth or Forgery? The Scientific Facts

The meeting on February 16th is meant for college students, Graduate students and servants.

  • 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Talk #1: Rebecca Jackson - Hasadeen Hakadosh: The Holy Shroud in Hebrew

  • 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Talk #2: Dr. John Jackson - Cosmology and Proof of The Creation

Both meetings will be held at Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church in Santa Ana, CA. You can find more information and register here.

TRUE PHYSICIAN MINISTRY TRAINING

Under the auspices of His Eminence Metropolitan Serapion and His Grace Bishop Abraham, the Department of Diakonia is offering a one day training for those who desire to serve the sick. Attendees will earn a certificate of completion at the end of the training.

  • March 16th at Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church in Santa Ana, CA

  • April 6th at St. Mary and St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church in Northridge, CA

  • April 13th at St. Maurice Coptic Orthodox Church in Pomona, CA

Each training day will begin with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at 8:00 a.m. and will end at 6:00 p.m. For more information and registration, click here.
