Mere Christianity by CS Lewis
CS Lewis (1898-1963) is labeled by many as one of more prolific Christian writers in the 20th Century. His most influential books were The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Screwtape Letters, and of course, Mere Christianity! He also wrote an amazing introduction to St. Athanasius’ (our 20th Patriarch) famous book On the Incarnation.
Mere Christianity is compiled from C.S. Lewis’s legendary BBC radio broadcasts from England that gave Christian inspiration and courage to many during the tragedies of WWII. Since 2001, “Mere Christianity” has sold more than 3.5 million copies in English alone not to mention that it has also been translated into 36 languages1!
Join us as we review this wonderful book from an Orthodox Christian perspective. We will also have Fr. Peter Farrington (also from England!) to give our first talk with a brief introduction!
