We will be having a weekly hymns class for ALL children, pre-teens, and teens up to high school. Parents, please bring your young children to this incredible opportunity to learn some of the most important hallmarks of our church! Teens, we want to see you!

What is a hymns class?

It is a time to learn the tunes and hymns of the Coptic Orthodox Church. These hymns can include pieces that we chant during the weekly divine liturgy, during feast days, during fasts or special seasons of the church. Within the class, a leader, who is experienced in how the tunes are sung, will guide the children and youth to perfect each tune of the hymns. 

Why attend a hymns class?

It is summertime! One of the most memorable times for children at church will include activities such as a hymns class. Melodies and tunes memorized at a young age usually stick with a person for a long time! Being able to chant all the tunes with the deacons during divine services is in-and-of itself a very joyful activity.
