Weekly Update - March 28

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"God has given me the gift of freedom for no other reason than that I should return it to Him. But if I seek instead to retain my freedom in a selfish, egotistical way, I shall become a slave of mindless impulse and desire."

FASTING GREAT LENT

As we continue our journey through the Lenten season, it is important that each of us receives spiritual guidance with regards to how to fast. Do not take it upon yourself to make a rule of fasting for yourself. And remember that if you are not keeping the fast, you may not approach partake of Holy Communion.

It is also very important that each of us participates in the mystery of confession. It is highly recommended that every member of the Church confess at least twice during the Lenten season.
