PEACE AND GRACE!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“One should not seek among others the truth that can be easily gotten from the Church. For in her, as in a rich treasury, the apostles have placed all that pertains to truth, so that everyone can drink this beverage of life. She is the door of life.”

+St. Irenaeus of Lyon

APOSTLES' FAST

We are in the midst of the Apostles' Fast, which will culminate the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul on July 12th. As the Apostles fasted in preparation for their mission to spread the Gospel to all peoples, let us take advantage of this time to examine and prepare our own hearts. We should be participating in the fast with our brothers and sisters to the best of our abilities and in under the direction of our spiritual fathers.

CONGRATULATIONS TO GREG AND ALYSE PLUTA

It is our joy to announce that Greg and Alyse Pluta were baptized into the Coptic Orthodox Church this past Sunday. May God's grace guide their lives and may they have a lifetime of blessings. Welcome home!

CHILDREN'S CLOTHING DONATION DRIVE

We will be hosting a children's clothing drive to help our youngest brothers and sisters at an orphanage in Mexico. Please bring donations of new and gently used children's clothing to church by this Sunday, July 1st; the biggest needs are for children's clothing, but we welcome donations of adult clothing and small toys as well. For more information, please contact Sarah Michael.

GRADUATION CEREMONY

Join us to celebrate our young graduates on July 1st after Liturgy! Make sure to bring your kids and teens so we can commemorate their achievements together as a family.

 ADULTS' HYMNS CLASS

God willing, we will be beginning a hymns class for adults and young adults on July 7th. It will run during the same time as the children's hymns class. Please contact Peter Abadeer with questions and for more information.

JUNIOR HIGH DIOCESE RETREAT

The diocese retreat for junior high students, entitled "Living With Purpose," will have two sessions this summer. The boys' retreat will be from July 6th-8th at Adventure Mountain in Forest Hills, while the girls' retreat will be from July 24th-26th at the Coptic Village in Big Bear. For more information and registration, please click here!

FOCUS SAN DIEGO

Join volunteers from Orthodox parishes in San Diego every Wednesday to serve with FOCUS to help provide meals for the hungry at 1625 Island Ave., San Diego, CA 92101. Help is needed with cooking, serving, and clean up from 3:00 p.m. onwards. Children are always welcome! If you have any questions, please contact Mary Jensen.

FOOD & CLEAN-UP

To sign up to bring food for the agape meal on Sundays, please fill in the weekly spreadsheet available HERE. We need as many volunteers as possible to keep the church clean on Sundays after the Divine Liturgy. Please consider this important expression of stewardship.
