PEACE AND GRACE

Commemoration of the Departure of St. Helena, The Empress (May 6 / Baramouda 28)

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down from heaven--not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever."

Jn 6:54-58

COVID UPDATE

Many of you may have heard, or have been directly impacted by, the recent surge of COVID cases.  We pray for each and every one of those who have been impacted and ask our Lord to grant a speedy and full recovery to those who were affected.

When coming to Church, please be reminded of the practices that we have been accustomed to over the past two years:

  • If you are experiencing flu-like, cold-like or allergy symptoms, please get tested. If you have tested positive, please:

    • Seek a healthcare professional for helpful treatments

    • Please do not come to church for five days after the exposure and until you are showing no symptoms

  • Please feel comfortable wearing a mask at church

Also, weather permitting, Sunday School will be outdoors.  If you have any questions, please contact Fr. Michael at 949-378-0350.

MAY 22 || EASTER PICNIC [new date]

The Picnic has been rescheduled to May 22nd!  Please mark your calendar!  Pending weather and Covid exposures, this day is sure to be fun for young and old. After the Liturgy, we will be meeting at Nobel Park (7478 Toscana Dr, San Diego, CA 92122) from 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm. There will be a taco truck, shaved ice truck, and an easter egg hunt. Please sign up through this form so we have an accurate headcount. Please also look out for a separate sign up sheet to bring drinks, desserts, plasticware, plates, and napkins.

See you there, God Willing!

AGAPE MEAL AFTER THE LITURGY!

Hello St. Basil’s family!  We’re happy to bring back our weekly Agape meal, but we can’t do it without the help of our congregation.

You can help in the following ways:

  1. Sign up to bring food (Please refrain from excessive sweets).

  2. Sign up for the coffee cart: set up and clean up the coffee cart on Sunday morning.

  3. Hall clean up following the Agape meal.

Please use the link below to sign up.
