PEACE AND GRACE
The Martyrdom of Saint Anastasia (October 12, 2023/ Baba 1, 1739)
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him [a]refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”1 Peter 3:10-12

Lasagna Love - Supporting Local Families!
We will be gathering together after church on 10/15 from 1-4PM to make lasagnas, brownies, and cookies to send to the Rachel's Women's Shelter downtown (https://ccdsd.org/homeless-womens-services/). There is a sign up sheet for supplies/ingredients and those who are interested in just cooking/baking (no experience required!) here.
This opportunity is organized by a group called Lasagna Love that arranges to feed 3-4 different shelters every month, so it's a recurring opportunity for us, if we want to take it on. We hope that we can support local families in need by making and delivering lasagnas to those in your town and nearby, as many and/or as often as we can.
Please reach out to Erene Hanna (562-619-4595 or erenepasi@gmail.com) or Fr. Michael if you want to get involved or if you have any questions!
