Foster Kids Community Event - May 18, 2025
A BIG THANK YOU to all who generously donated toward purchasing suitcases to pack for our local foster kids!
As a review, foster children face multiple moves from home to home and are given a trash bag to carry their belongings.
This initiative aims to give these children hope and dignity by giving them their own suitcase with hygienic and a few character-building items and inside
St. Basil’s successfully raised over $10,000 to pride over 100 suitcases to these children
In partnership with Forever Kids, we will be gathering on Sunday May 18th following the liturgy to hear a presentation from the organization and pack the suitcases with a few items (toiletries, an inspirational card and books)
This event is open to all who want to participate–anyone under middle school age must be accompanied by an adult please.

PREPARATION FOR BAPTISM (CATECHISM) CLASSES
Join us on ONLINE on Monday nights at 8:00 PM for Baptism preparation classes. Visit www.stbasil.net/baptism for more information. These classes are open for:
Anyone interested in becoming members of the Coptic Orthodox Church,
Those recently baptized (within the last few years), or
Simply anyone else seeking to better understand the basics of the Christian Faith and History.
Together, we will review the importance of baptism and its impact, the Sacraments, the inspiring church history, the Orthodox Creed, the Holy Bible, Orthodox Prayer and Spiritual life, and Church traditions.
