PEACE AND GRACE

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b]perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

James 1:2-8

College and Recent Graduate Meeting!

Continuing our series with the various servant leads in our parish church, this week we will hear from our treasurer! He will speak to us about the challenges of managing a parish’s finances and will also show that God is present in this service too!

The goal for these series of talks is to expose the college and recent graduates to the various services and how this service brings you closer to Christ! These talks will allow for:

  • A Deeper understanding of church ministry (in this case, church finance) through the lens of personal testimony of the servant leads

  • Emerging leaders gain practical and spiritual insight into various areas of service including some of the challenges. They don’t happen automatically!

  • Opportunity for ongoing mentorship or shadowing in specific departments

  • Fosters ownership of the church’s mission in the rising generation
