Quote of the Week

"The Lord, before His Incarnation, let mankind experience all the bitterness of sin, all their powerlessness to eradicate it; and when all longed for a Deliverer, then He appeared, the most wise, all-powerful Physician and Helper. When men hungered and thirsted after righteousness, as it grew weaker, then the everlasting righteousness came."

Weekly Update - November 2

Quote of the Week

"The real hunger of men is hunger for heaven, for eternal life, for God. The Lord Jesus first underlines this hunger and then prepares a table for its satisfying. This table is He Himself. 'I am the Bread of life.' Our earthly body is sustained by bread, our soul is fed and given life by Christ."

— St. Nikolai Velimirovich (+1956)

Weekly Update - September 14

Quote of the Week

"The Divine Services in their composition contain all the fullness of the dogmatic teaching of the Church and set forth a path to salvation. They present invaluable spiritual wealth. The more fully and precisely they are fulfilled, the more benefit the participants receive from them. Those who perform them carelessly and who shorten them by their laziness rob their flock, depriving them of their very daily bread, stealing from them a most valuable treasure. The shortening of the services which comes about through a lack of strength must be done wisely and performed circumspectly in order not to touch that which should not be tampered with."
